OAKLAND (9-24) - The Warriors played their second conference game on Saturday against the five-time defending conference champions.
Four days after being beat by CSU Maritime in Vallejo 3-0, the Warriors went into Oakland to take on the Holy Names University Hawks. The Hawks were come a 3-0 loss to Concordia University of Irvine last Saturday.
The Hawks scored five goals in the first half with three goals from Zlatko Tomic and two goals from Tomas Michael to give the Hawks a 5-0 lead. In the first half, the Hawks outshot the Warriors 14-1. In the second half, the Hawks scored four more goals with two coming from Oscar Chroisty and one apiece from Francisco Amorena and Christian Villa to give the Hawks a 9-0 victory.
Mark Bondaruk had two shots for the Warriors while Amorena and Tomic had a game high five shots apiece for the Hawks. The win for the game went to Holy Names' Mathias Spinnars and the loss went to Tim Rusher for William Jessup. The Hawks outshot the Warriors 32-5 and had a 6-1 advantage in corner kicks.
The next game for William Jessup is Tuesday as they take on Menlo College at Jessup Field.
